ISRAEL SURROUNDED? FURTHER CONSIDERATIONS

POSTED RESPONSE TO A COLUMN BY CON COUGHLIN IN THE DAILY TELEGRAPH

I see a few references here to Hitler being elected, and something about Hamas following his tactics.

It is a little unsettling to see people arguing here from such grossly false assumptions.

Hitler was not elected.

The NAZI party under Hitler never received more than about 36-37% of the vote.

Hitler was appointed Chancellor by the aged and feeble President von Hindenburg, after a good deal of backroom dealing, in the hope of ending the anarchy on the streets.

The anarchy on the streets was of course in part caused by Hitler's own Brownshirts.

Hitler assumed dictatorial powers after Hindenburg's death, assisted in passing extreme laws by the Reichstag fire.

There are no parallels whatsoever to the Hamas experience.

Hamas was cleanly elected by a people frustrated with Lack of progress.

Israel has high-handedly treated Hamas as something contemptible from the beginning.

Many Westerners, not familiar with the situation, assume falsely Israel is right.

The fact is Israel and Hamas could live in peace, but Israel will not let that happen.

I suspect a good deal of Israeli secret-service manipulation in recent events to show a credulous world that, see, we were right, the Palestinians can't govern themselves.
