JOHN CHUCKMAN COMMENT: YET MORE BRITISH POLITICAL NONSENSE OVER MCCARTHYITE ACCUSATIONS OF ANTI-SEMITISM THAT IS NOT ANTI-SEMITISM - JACKIE WALKER OF THE LABOUR PARTY-FRIENDLY MOMENTUM MOVEMENT THREATENED WITH FIRING FOR A COMMENT NO REASONABLE PERSON COULD OBJECT TO

COMMENT POSTED TO AN ARTICLE IN THE INDEPENDENT

Well, we do have a steady stream of nonsense continuing under the vague and ill-defined heading of "anti-Semitism," don't we?

“In terms of Holocaust Day, wouldn’t it be wonderful if Holocaust Day was open to all people who experienced Holocaust?”

There is nothing, absolutely nothing, objectionable about that statement.

In addition, the words come from a member of a minority community that can more than claim its share of suffering.

The one good outcome of this kind of absurd crusade in nit-picking for anti-Semitism is that all meaning of the term "anti-Semitism" is surely being eroded away.

In a few more years, the term will be roughly the equivalent of calling someone "human."
