"Dumbing-down" exactly describes what is going on in Washington.
Trump has seriously attacked, in one way or another, every expert to whom he has been exposed.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Dr. Rick Bright, Director of the Department of Health and Human Services’ Biomedical Advanced Research. Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization. Robert Redfield, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And still others.
Under the guise of having a different political point of view, Trump has given birth to a government using its powers to promote ignorance and superstition.
It is frightening.
At least we know China and Russia are in the hands of exemplary and gifted leaders who understand what is going on and can hopefully steer clear of threatened disasters.
