Well, Damian, if as you charmingly put it, 'a quarter of British Muslims are stupid enough to believe a disgusting conspiracy theory,' what do you say to American polls showing half of America believes in Hussein's 'weapons of mass destruction' and involvement in 'terror'?
Both of these notions are proved thoroughly to have been myths if not deliberate lies.
How about the polls in America that show remarkably huge numbers believing in a conspiracy around 9/11?
The conspiracies believed in include everything from the Pentagon to Jewish stock traders as conspirators.
I think the polls of British Muslims are quite reasonable results when compared to such results from America.
After all, this is a poll taken in a minority community which has received a lot of ugly press and suspicious treatment, not the general population.
And they are quite right in believing the majority of their community has done nothing.
By the way, a majority of Americans in polls believe there is something evil or unsavory about the world outside America's borders.
