“How Donald Trump has
cheapened the language of politics through Twitter and right-wing media allies”
Actually, I don't agree.
It is American politics itself which, for decades, has
cheapened the language of politics.
People abroad can hardly imagine the rich putrid stew of
lies and egotism and selfishness and aggression which is America's national
politics today.
Trump is just along for the ride.
The authors refer to Hitler, the sort of gold standard in
making invidious comparisons, but please look at the realities of America.
A mass killer and thief and unstoppable-liar like Netanyahu
not only gets by in the press and in government without a single word of
criticism, he is in fact honored and receives boundless privileges.
Just look at the horror of Syria or Libya or Yemen, all
deliberately and covertly created by America's politicians and all of it
constantly lied about.
