Response to a reader
referring to Israel’s democracy:
Democracy?
Where do you see that?
Israel is exactly as much a democracy as the former American
Confederacy or former Nationalist South Africa.
They, too, had elections and legislatures and the window
dressing of democracy.
Unfortunately they also had millions with no rights, no
vote, and limits on what they even could own.
Well, that unarguably describes modern Israel.
