“Israeli Forces Hit
Hamas Targets in Response to Cross-Border Shooting”
Response to cross-border shooting?
Who knows, but with Israel you can almost bet it didn't
happen or was contrived to give an excuse to bomb Hamas.
Israel hates Hamas, not because it is a terrorist
organization, but because it represents a kind of political cohesiveness Israel
does not want to see for the Palestinians.
It also has a democratic history, and Israel hates all
democracies anywhere near its borders (while always pretending otherwise).
Israel likes the completely unelected Abbas, the unelected
King of Saudi Arabia, the unelected current president of Egypt, the King of Jordan
(under Israel's thumb), and others.
Israel is effectively a force for the suppression of
democracy in the region.
