JOHN CHUCKMAN COMMENT: THE OTHERWISE BRILLIANT STEPHEN COHEN ASKS, RATHER NAIVELY IT SEEMS TO ME, CAN ATTORNEY GENERAL BARR GET TO THE BOTTOM OF RUSSIA-GATE?

John Chuckman

COMMENT POSTED TO AN ARTICLE BY STEPHEN COHEN IN RUSSIA INSIDER

"Trump Still Crippled by Russia-Gate. Can Attorney General Barr Get to the Bottom of It?"

Stephen Cohen's question seems naive to me, although I know scholar Stephen Cohen is anything but naive in general.

Russophobia is a basic element in the make-up of America's establishment. It goes back, in one form or another, a lifetime.

No matter what words he puts out, Barr is not going to seriously deal with that. It touches immensely powerful people.

It would be about as difficult and rewarding as questioning the musical excellence of the Star-Spangled Banner.

Response to a comment saying, “Well, so far Barr has been a total failure. Epstein under Barrs care was murdered or escaped. Why no culpability for his responsibility? Many seem to think Barr is some night in shining armour coming to our rescue. Based on what?”

And of course, one possible explanation for the ridiculous spectacle of Epstein's murder under the highest possible security would be the fact that he worked for a foreign intelligence outfit, that his entire island operation was a giant security service honey-trap to obtain embarrassing information against important people.
