COMMENT POSTED TO AN ARTICLE IN SPUTNIK
All American-imposed sanctions are doing - apart from a lot
of hurt to different parts of the European economy - is proving the natural,
underlying relationship between Europe and Russia.
In that sense, they will prove highly counter-productive
over time.
After all, America is doing this only to stop that natural
relationship from flourishing.
But to my mind, it's a bit like commanding the sea's waves
to stop.
