JOHN CHUCKMAN COMMENT: THE FACTS AROUND THE IDEA THAT TED CRUZ IS NOT QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT

COMMENT ON THE IDEA THAT TED CRUZ IS NOT QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT

You miss the point entirely, but in doing so you are no different than many others.

I have little doubt Cruz has a form, with which I am familiar, called "Birth of an American Citizen Abroad." He will then have a birth certificate signed by the Secretary of State.

His mother was a very intelligent woman and would have certainly registered his birth at an American Consulate, as per the laws Congress passed for the benefit of American businessmen and armed forces personnel living abroad.

Therefore he is an American citizen. Full stop.

However, that may not be the same thing as the Constitution's requirement of "natural born," which excludes naturalized American citizens from holding the office of President.

Only a ruling by the Supreme Court can decide that issue.

There's not much point in going on about it until the Supreme Court hears a petition.
