What a shame Amnesty International has become.
I would only add to the story that it isn't so much Trump's line being peddled as the CIA's line. Trump, too, is a servant of the establishment, just a noisy, foolish one, trying to keep his job by pretending to lead.
Maybe Amnesty International always was under CIA influence, and I just didn't know it, but decades ago, I regarded it as a worthy organization.
What we see is just more of Washington's hacking away at the independence and meaningfulness of international organizations of every description.
Every international organization of substance, from the UN to the Nobel Peace Prize, has been reduced by pressures and threats and compromises, so there literally are few places to turn for some truth.
