Mrs. Merkle’s relationship with Erdogan has only made her
look ridiculous, time after time.
She continues to pretend a genuine madman is normal.
But she needn't have pretended had she shown any
independence of mind about sick American foreign policy in the first place.
She's in a ridiculous spot because she has worked towards
ridiculous aims.
