"The ruins I saw in Syria stand as a rebuke to western inaction"
I simply think Diana Darke has that about as wrong as it can be.
What she saw in Syria is precisely the result of Western action.
Six years of it.
Arming, paying, and supporting the gangs of mercenary thugs, posing as jihadis, who have wrought this horror on a peaceful and beautiful land.
They weren't all Westerners, some contributors were non-Westerners who do the bidding of Westerners.
We have simply countless bits of evidence that the main players in this human catastrophe are the United States, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Britain, and France. Turkey originally played an important role too.
