JOHN CHUCKMAN COMMENT: THE UNFORTUNATE TIMING OF THE LATEST CARAVAN OF REFUGEES HEADING TOWARDS THE AMERICAN BORDER - APPEAL TO AMERICAN XENOPHOBIA LIKELY TRUMP'S STRONGEST POLITICAL ASSET AND IT MAY HELP HIM SURVIVE MIDTERM CONGRESSIONAL ELECTIONS

“If Trump's talk of Democratic 'mobs' is meant to scare Republicans to the polls, it's working”

I am sympathetic with the Central American refugees.

And I know they form caravans for their own safety, not for any sinister reasons, although the Trump crowd works itself up with talk of invading armies.

The refugees pass through some pretty dangerous territory on their search for a better, safer life, and of course they include many women and children.

And so much of what people are fleeing in Central America is the result of destructive American policies and interference in the internal affairs of other countries, fomenting civil ways and barbarous government behavior.

But could organizers have picked a worse time to form up the latest group approaching the American border?

Fear and loathing of migrants and refugees is likely Trump's single strongest political appeal factor.

It is simply an ugly truth about United States' voters.

Right before the Midterm Congressional Elections, which, were they to go the right way, would turn Trump into a lame duck for the balance of his term.
