That is very true.
Even some of America's most traditional allies are experiencing serious doubts about America's intentions and the value of its word in international affairs.
In the end, I do think much of Trump's chaotic efforts abroad will only serve to hasten the decline of America's hold on international affairs.
He thinks he's reinforcing American global dominance, but the opposite will almost certainly prove to be the case ultimately.
This is reinforced by such clear mismanagement and confusion as America displayed during the pandemic.
It literally relinquished world leadership in a matter vital to everyone, and it demonstrated its unwillingness to cooperate and respect expert opinion.
Those are not qualities anyone sensible wants to build a future on.
