Please, it doesn't take much persuasion.
Besides, Netanyahu's skills are far more those of a bully
than a salesman.
None of the leaders wants to touch this tar baby.
None of the leaders has much ethics anyway.
An implicit threat is always there working for Israel: that
Israel's supporters in the various Western countries will withdraw financial
support from any party leader found wanting in his or her groveling to Israel's
government.
Believe me, that's all that required, especially in the
United States whose government leaders almost trip over each other in trying to
come up with new ways to please Israel's government.
And if the US is onside, how do the weak leaders of Britain,
France, or Germany dare to go in a different direction?
They don't, ever.
And that is why the world's most shameful abuse of human
rights and ethics just rolls on, year after year.
