“In the Early Days of WW2, Britain and France Planned to Bomb Russia”

An excellent piece.
The various twists and turns in thought at the time provide a powerful example of just how complex and tricky wars can be.
As opposed to the popular, simplistic notion notion of two forces, one good and one bad, fighting it out.
And that alone is a very good reason to avoid them.
You truly never know what the outcome will be.
It is perhaps a good measure of the arrogance of a people when they ignore this fundamental truth, as America has so clearly done in its continuing efforts to reshape the Middle East by force.
