I should hope so.
This silly, expensive effort by Israel represents at least two illegitimate ongoing drives.
One is its tireless effort to identify with Europe as to its legitimacy and present itself as a country with Western ideals, a complete fraud so long as it holds millions against their will and in a state of constant abuse, and, the other is, its regular seizing of platforms for popular exposure of propaganda and disinformation.
I think the efforts around Eurovision are as desperate and transparent as Israel’s previous work by state-paid Internet contributors - IDF teams and paid unemployed Israeli students - who worked the comment sections of many Western online newspapers daily.
That last effort has noticeably declined recently, reflecting no doubt its clumsy ineffectiveness.
The Eurovision ploys can, I think, only go the same way.
Israel's heavy-handed propaganda and disinformation efforts much resemble those of the old Soviet Union.
So much so, that at times, it's almost an insult to people's intelligence, but isn't that exactly the measure of all fanatics and ideologues, who reference nothing beyond their own drives and wishful fantasies? Thinking in a Trump-like mental cocoon?
