JOHN CHUCKMAN COMMENT: TRYING TO MAKE ANY SENSE OF SINAI MOSQUE ATTACK IS DIFFICULT IF YOU SAY IT WAS BY ISIS - REPRISAL AIR STRIKES AS BRAVADO AND P.R.

Up to 30 gunmen under ISIS flag attacked Egypt mosque, killing 305 people – Public Prosecutor

I don't see the motive for this attack.

We can make no sense of it without a motive.

We know what ISIS is about, and this attack does not, at first look, fit in.

The sponsors of ISIS - Saudi Arabia, America, Israel, Turkey, Britain, and France - have no motive for creating trouble in Egypt, a nation whose government is a fairly faithful American follower.

ISIS is not, and never was, an independent operation.

Were they others posing?

Was this a false flag attack?

I just don't know.

As for Egypt's air strikes afterward of "suspected terrorists," this kind of military response is public relations and bravado.

And just ask yourself, if the Egyptian military actually where to able to target 'terrorists," why wait until after a disaster to strike? Wouldn't that be irresponsible?

Likely just bunches of poor peasants killed by the Egyptian planes, in exactly the same fashion as American bombing in half a dozen countries does regularly.
