Top Ukraine Military Leader, Yarosh, Threatens to Assassinate Ukraine’s President Zelensky if He Makes Peace With Russia



I actually have regarded Zelensky as a leader with some promise, someone who just might implement the Minsk Accords and cease all the mindless antagonism against Russia. I thought his frequent use of the Russian language in his election campaign was an important signal that required no specific words to elaborate.

But this open threat from the leader of a strong militia group shows us how hard it is to achieve any progress in Ukraine.

Of course, the resulting chaos is just what the entire American policy, a policy which saw America underwrite the coup in Ukraine, is about.

Create strife and instability in this country right along a big stretch of Russia's border.

Nothing else, so this kind of outlaw military plays a role, just as the mercenaries in Syria who pose as jihadi types do there.

America cares no more for the Ukrainian people themselves than it does for the women and children of Syria or Yemen or Libya, whom it and its willing helpers have slaughtered in the tens of thousands in recent years.

America’s policy is entirely negative, and it has subsidized and supplied men of this character to assist in its success.

Here is also a very good example of the way nationalism and patriotism are so often used for dark purposes.

"Patriots" like Commander Dmitry Yarosh are not serving the long-term interests of Ukraine, not in the least. They are serving an ideology, a fanaticism, akin to any religious one we see in the world.

That kind of fanaticism never creates anything other than conflict and hatreds.

And it's so easy for a country with the kind of intentions America has - intentions which include nothing less than being sole arbiter for the entire planet - to employ such fanaticism in just the same way someone might employ suicide bombers.
