COMMENT POSTED TO AN ARTICLE IN THE GUARDIAN
Alison Brie: ‘When
Spielberg called it was the craziest half an hour of my life’
God, another large free ad for Steven Spielberg.
Every time he does a film, every time an old film is
re-released, every time he gets his shoes shined, we read about it in The
Guardian.
You know, he really is wealthy enough to buy his own
publicity for his products.
I wouldn't mind if we were talking about a great director, a
man making truly memorable and/or insightful films.
But we are not. We are talking about a man who has made a
fortune literally on schlock - schlock like Close Encounters, schlock like
Gremlins, schlock like Poltergeist, and on and on.
