“Saudi-Canada Spat Over Human Rights Leads to Major Diplomatic Rift” 



Yes, and of course, Canada is right to criticize Saudi Arabia.

But this whole event deeply bothers me.

It is just such a cheap shot by Chrystia Freeland, trying to grab some human rights "creds" and headlines she doesn't deserve at all.

Where was her voice while Israel shot thousands of innocent people from Gaza with a giant firing squad?

Thousands shot, hundreds wounded, and more than 150 outright killed by the cowards on the other side of Israel’s fence.

All of the victims were unarmed, a number of them included women and children and people such as medics and journalists.

Just the most appallingly brutal act we have seen in a very long time.

And not a word from good old Chrystia or from her touchy-feely boss.

Nor do we hear her speaking out against the Saudi horrors in Yemen, again killing women and children. Why? Because America approves of that particular activity.

Chrystia, a highly-biased woman of Ukrainian heritage - so many Ukrainian-Canadians were refugees from the Soviets and don't think well of Russia even though the USSR is long gone - goes on and on sometimes about Russia, too.

What has Russia done? Nothing, except defend itself from American dirty tricks.

Meanwhile, in the last 15 years, America has killed about two million people in the Neocon Wars, burning and bombing their way through the Middle East.

Chystia resembles a wannabe American type – indeed, her husband works for the American establishment's house organ, the New York Times - and she regurgitates all the official Washington pabulum she dutifully swallows.

But, the brave soul manages to throw a dart at Saudi Arabia over a comparatively insignificant matter.

The creep that runs Saudi Arabia, the usurper-kidnapper-murderer Crown Prince, is shooting back with everything he's got, from canceling airline flights to questioning the continued presence of Saudi students in Canada, and I have to say, I think it looks good on this pretentious, second-rate Canadian politician.

Yes, and of course, her government honored an existing contract with the Saudi killers for military equipment worth 15 billion dollars early in their term. Hypocrisy just does not come piled any thicker and uglier.
