JOHN CHUCKMAN COMMENT: AN INTERESTING UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCE OF AMERICA'S NEW ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR IN TRADE - CHINA AND RUSSIA

John Chuckman

COMMENT TO AN ARTICLE BY TYLER DURDEN IN RUSSIA INSIDER

“Russia Offers China 2.5 Million Acres of Farmland and a Way to Beat the US Trade War

"It seems like China is willing to accept higher soybean prices in the short-term, but the long-term plan is clear: cheap arable land in Russia’s Far East could be China’s next source of soybeans, thus bypassing US farmers."

Very interesting.

Sweeping new actions or policies in economics and trade often come with unintended consequences.

This development in Russia's Far East perhaps exemplifies what is underway in many places in response to what can only be called American economic imperialism.

Trump may just prove to have been a real agent of change in the world, change America definitely does not want.
