“Here Is What Russia Was Really Testing in the Radiation Explosion Accident
“Russia wants "autonomous" missiles in canisters that can be dumped on the ocean floor and wait years and decades to be activated remotely”

A very clear and convincing explanation of what happened in Russia with the military test accident.
You might wonder how the author could tell such a detailed story, including so many technical aspects.
Scott Ritter was a UN weapons inspector working in Iraq for most of the 1990s.
He became famous (or infamous, depending on your point of view) for his public statements about there being absolutely no WMD in Iraq at the time America was so eager to invade, using the very pretext of Iraq possessing WMD.
Ritter was right, of course.
But you can never be regarded as right by Western press and politicians when you say anything casting doubt on an Israeli project, which is very much what the American invasion of Iraq was.
It was step one in America's sandblasting much of the Middle East for Israel's satisfaction. Two million or so deaths later, when you include the other parts of the project such as Syria and Libya, and here we are playing at the same dirty game yet once more, this time with Iran.
Fortunately, a number of major countries are committed to the Iran nuclear agreement, and that makes it harder for America and Israel to launch another disaster. Although we must remember that the United States failed to secure UN support for its war on Iraq, and just went right ahead anyway.
Iran also is a major country with about four times the population Iraq had at the time America invaded, and it is a country which has prepared itself for American hostilities since the dreadful 8-year long Iran-Iraq War of the 1980s that America secretly encouraged and supplied in order to damage Iran. That unwelcome and very bloody war did teach Iran many hard lessons.
So, we might just make it through the current Israeli initiative without seeing yet another country it hates being incinerated. But there is an unbalanced loon at the helm in America, and always when you threaten with war machines, there is opportunity for error.
I digress, but it is interesting stuff to me.
So, given his background, Scott Ritter is undoubtedly extremely well-connected to weapons experts and intelligence services to obtain such information.
Ritter has also stated the truth about Syrian events, such as the staged poison gas attack in Ghouta, an event America used as an excuse to launch a fleet of cruise missiles against Syria. Ritter has been harshly criticized for his statements about Syria.
