Sorry, it just won’t happen.
I think we already know, in broad strokes, who is responsible for Russia-gate.
But they are really big names in the American political establishment. Powerful, wealthy, well-connected, protected people.
It seems to me almost childishly wishful thinking to believe that any of them will be held accountable. The kind of thinking Trump indulges in from his Twitter daydream world.
How many other, far greater corrupt events than Russia-gate have we seen in America with absolutely no accountability?
The Kennedy Assassination? 9/11? TWA 800? Vietnam? Iraq? The USS Liberty? And on and on.
America is a vast, brutal empire, one run by powerful and almost unaccountable people, people of both parties who disagree in almost no essential details concerning it.
Hatred of Russia remains a shared basic value of those people.
America is not a grade school-textbook republic from 1776, a place where unshakably honest characters in powdered wigs and frock coats see to it that liberty, truth and justice prevail.
