What complete crap this is about Russia. There is no perspective here. Absolutely none.
You might almost think you were reading an item from The Guardian, that most appalling and consistently-biased newspaper on earth, one absolutely dedicated to promoting hatred of Russia, along with a number of other hatreds, such as hatred of a decent, tolerant politician named Jeremy Corbyn.
How about the countless cuts and bruises, broken bones, and blinded eyes inflicted by Macron’s brutal police in the streets of Paris?
Week after week, people tear-gassed, beaten with batons, and literally shot. I’ve seen the pictures of people crippled for life.
That has been a dreadful spectacle. Taking place in the very heart of one of Western civilization’s most legendary places symbolizing freedom and opposition to oppression. “Liberté, égalité, fraternité.”
Police breaking up a demonstration in Moscow were almost peaceful by comparison.
And far worse, still, we have Israel’s regular killings by its policing army in Gaza.
Week after week, unarmed people, just demonstrating for some rights, are killed and wounded, including women and children.
More than two hundred have been killed and thousands wounded, a number of them receiving life-destroying wounds inflicted by soldiers lined up in ambush behind a fence using, in some cases, a form of illegal dum-dum bullet to inflict maximum damage with the slightest wound.
And the savage effort is actually termed “restrained” by some of our politicians and press.
