“Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook hearing was an utter sham”



Well, how fitting since Zuckerberg himself has always been a sham.

The shy boy-look with the ridiculous gray tee-shirts, almost a Silicon Valley parody of the Dalai Lama.

But this Dalai Lama runs what has always been one of the most twisted and dishonest sites on the Internet, caught numerous times pulling this or that shabby trick like purchasing false "likes" or rigging news story lists.

And then there’s the quite blatant censorship – a censorship aimed only in certain directions – and almost manic claims about some truly piddling Russian ad purchases plus pretentious, self-appointed determinations of what is true.

Of course, all that is over and above the basic dishonesty of Facebook with regard to its users.

Facebook is nothing more than a giant personal information Hoovering operation, the extent of which users have never been honestly informed about. The information is supplied both to advertisers and to American security services.

Facebook even includes tracking devices placed into users' computers which then tell Facebook's vast Stasi-like database every place you visit on the Internet.

My favorite quote about Facebook comes from the redoubtable Julian Assange.

When asked if he deleted his Facebook account after recent discoveries, he said: " I never had one. Friends don't put their friends into a giant intelligence database controlled by a megalomaniac who calls his users "dumb fucks" for trusting him."

That last epithet is directly from Zuckerberg in talking about his users.
