"It's Time to Assassinate Assad": Michael Rubin
Another arrogant American openly advocating someone’s murder. It's becoming a national occupation. America, literally, has become Israelized.
This man, Michael Rubin, is of course serving Israel's interests. Indeed, his public call for murder literally mimics some recent words by one of Israel’s unethical cabinet ministers. Nothing like a so-called scholar echoing the words of a Mafia Don.
Of course, Israel is what the whole filthy proxy war in Syria is about in the first place. Nearly half-a-million people have been slaughtered for Israel, using paid and supplied mercenaries who are disguised as jihadis, with millions more sent flying as hopeless refugees as this beautiful land is destroyed.
The American Enterprise Institute is one of America's "think tanks," where Michael Rubin now sits ensconced in a leather chair behind an oak desk, the standard props provided to bolster the opinions of hacks who have been granted some form of residency or distinguished fellowship.
Boy, they do love those high-blown, academic-sounding titles at America’s privately-subsidized propaganda mills which pose as academic institutions. Their fellows and residents act as though they were legitimate independent scholars instead of paid flunkies. They remind me very much of cheap television actors in white lab coats trying to look like doctors in annoying commercials for this or that headache remedy.
Needless to say, a so-called scholar calling for murder deserves our contempt. Appalling.
However, such ugly stuff is only to be expected when you advocate for the Mideast's Murder Incorporated, otherwise known as Israel.
A recently published book with information from some former Israeli assassins tells us that Israel has assassinated 2,700 people.
2,700 murders. Now, that's quite a record. Really, a distinguished achievement.
And that comes on top of many other gruesome activities. Just in Gaza, we have had three massacres in the last decade under Netanyahu.
Israel, of course, has Invaded every neighbor that it has, some, like Lebanon, several times.
Israel has conducted countless atrocities, including shelling the city of Beirut, dropping a million cluster-bomb bomblets along the Lebanese border, and slaughtering several thousand people in refugee camps.
And then there's all the ugly stuff the US has been pushed into doing so that Israel does not take the international blame for all its horrors. If it actually did all of its own dirty work, it would plainly be seen by the whole world for the violent pariah state that it is. So, the United States is regularly pushed into bloody horrors on its behalf, thinly disguised as American – or, better still, NATO - interests.
The invasion of Iraq was a dream project of Ariel Sharon’s. A million people were slaughtered, and the Mideast’s most advanced Arab state was crushed and pretty well broken into pieces.
Libya, a peaceful and well-run country, was bombed into chaos, and its leader was murdered. Amongst the participants in the destruction was France’s President Sarkozy who had previously secretly taken twenty million Euros towards his election expenses from Gadhafi. Gadhafi was thanked with a bullet to the head.
Syria also is just another project of that old mass killer, Ariel Sharon. Of course, Netanyahu embraces it just as warmly. The Syrian government regularly finds Israeli weapons in areas they have liberated from the terrorist mercenaries.
Here, proxies were used instead of American and British troops as in Iraq. Both Israel and the United States avoid blame with this method. But the proxies are recruited, paid, armed, trained and assisted by America, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Britain, France, and, originally, Turkey.
Saudi Arabia, by the way, has worked now for years as a covert partner in Israeli projects. Decades ago, it was a sworn enemy of Israel, but all that has changed. This is how it earned its way back into America’s good graces following events of 9/11. Besides, the Saudis and Israelis share many common interests, including American big-money interests and ambitions to dominate the Middle East.
And we had a coup in Egypt to remove its short-lived first elected government, which came after thirty years of the tyrant, Mubarak, someone with whom Israel was very comfortable. Whatever it says in public, Israel actually cannot tolerate other democracies in its region, democracies representing the interests of all those tens of millions of Arabs. Israel always wants tyrants or kings, tyrants loyal to American policy. So, a coup was arranged with CIA help, and eighty million Egyptians face an unlimited future under another dictator to keep Israel happy.
Today, yet more dark plans are underway, these against Iran, a country which has attacked no one. There is nothing Netanyahu would like better than seeing either a coup or a war in Iran. Israel hates having competition for the Middle East’s most important country. Never mind that Iran has ten times the number of people that Israel has, Israel should be preeminent.
All of that, to say nothing of what appears to be the perpetual enslavement of millions of Palestinians who have no rights, no freedom, no hopes, terrible conditions imposed on them, with their very homes and farms not safe from theft. They have spent half a century in a human squalor of Israel’s invention.
The re-created Israel, as a state, has an almost non-stop record of killing, war, oppression and not much of a record of anything else, setting apart the clear achievements of gifted individuals whose creative work might just as well have been done anywhere else. So, Israel’s apologists in the United States, as this so-called scholar, are pretty much in the business of defending and advocating killing, abuse, and oppression.
The America, we all grew up thinking we knew, simply no longer exists.
